Microfactory is a spin-off innovation hub of Khooshebast Group that accelerates the journey from problem to product. We combine multidisciplinary product design, advanced manufacturing technologies, and business/IP mentoring to deliver end-to-end services for startups, park-based companies and academic teams. Our objective is to turn provotypes into validated prototypes and enable production (via a “factory-free” manufacturing model) without forcing teams to build their own production lines.
Core capabilities & services
Rapid prototyping: concept modelling, CAD/CAE, simulation and iterative physical prototyping.
Small-batch and contract production: flexible short-run manufacturing for commercialized products.
Integrated engineering: mechanical design, electronics design & embedded software, system integration.
PCB & electronics: prototype PCB design, SMT assembly (pick & place), reflow, testing and QC.
Digital fabrication & machining: industrial-grade 3D printing (FDM/SLA/industrial resins), CNC milling, laser cutting, metalworking and finishing.
Legal & IP support: patent filing guidance, IP strategy and commercialization counseling.
Mentoring & business support: technical mentors, business model coaching, market validation and investor readiness.
Team formation: matching specialists and idea-owners to form balanced project teams.
Co-working & community: equipped shared workspaces and informal “Coffee Corner” sessions for creativity and cross-disciplinary problem solving.
Training & capacity building: short courses and workshops (technical and entrepreneurial) delivered in partnership with accredited training providers.
Equipment highlights
Our facility hosts an integrated toolset spanning rapid prototyping to small industrial runs: industrial 3D printers, SLA systems, CNC milling, fiber & CO2 laser cutters, professional metrology, SMT line (pick & place, stencil printer, reflow), digital flatbed printers and post-processing gear—configured to support both research/education and product development at industrial grade.
Collaboration & business model
We operate a dual collaboration model: (1) an acceleration track where selected teams join as part of the holding group (investment + equity model, no upfront fee), and (2) a paid services track offering the same technical and mentoring stack on a fee-for-service basis. In both models teams can access our factory-free production offering to scale commercially without establishing dedicated lines.
Target users
Startups and scale-ups, companies located in technology parks, university research groups, R&D units of industry, and SMEs seeking rapid product development or short-run production. We actively partner with universities, research labs and industry to create hub-and-spoke collaborations.
Impact & mission
Microfactory’s mission is to shorten time-to-market, lower the cost of physical product development and increase the survival rate of deep-tech ventures by supplying integrated technical, legal and business support. By combining hands-on manufacturing capacity with mentoring and market access, we enable durable commercialization pathways and local value creation.
Operating model & quality
We maintain industry-grade quality control and traceability for prototype and small-batch runs, and follow standard safety and calibration procedures. Our staff mix of multidisciplinary engineers, production technicians and business mentors ensures projects move from concept to validated product with measurable KPIs.
Location & partnerships
Operated as a spin-off of Khooshebast Group, Microfactory is positioned to leverage holding-level resources, investor networks and university partnerships. We welcome collaboration requests from other FabLabs, research centers and industry partners for joint projects, knowledge exchange and regional capacity building.
