The Fab Labs at the School of Future Design, Beijing Normal University, cover a floor area of nearly 2,500 m² and have established nationally leading facilities including a virtual production studio, photography and videography studio, printing studio, and packaging/pottery throwing studio. Four additional specialized workspaces—a smart hardware studio, rapid prototyping studio, metalworking workshop, and woodworking workshop—are currently under development and scheduled for completion by the end of 2025.
As an open platform for free creation and hands-on practice, the Fab Labs empower students and faculty across the school to cultivate and enhance their understanding and application of materials, structures, functions, and processes through interdisciplinary experimentation.
