Street View 360° Mapping System

A digital mapping system designed to capture immersive 360° imagery of streets, buildings, public spaces, landscapes, and other locations.

The system combines a 360° camera with a physical mounting platform, positioning technology, and mapping software to create interactive street view-level imagery. It can be used for virtual exploration, documentation, education, tourism, digital heritage, and community mapping projects.

Unlike a conventional camera, the system captures the surrounding environment in all directions, allowing users to explore the resulting location interactively from a web browser.

The project is designed as an accessible maker-oriented alternative for communities, schools, Fab Labs, researchers, and creators interested in experimenting with 360° mapping and digital geographic documentation.
