Fab Lab Hangar emerged from the maker and educational activities developed by Drone Lab Brasil, a laboratory originally dedicated to exploring drones as a technological platform for learning, research, and social innovation.

Today, Hangar carries this legacy forward while embracing a broader mission: to provide an open environment where people can design, prototype, build, experiment, and learn using digital fabrication tools and emerging technologies.

The laboratory promotes projects in digital fabrication, electronics, robotics, creative coding, rapid prototyping, art and technology, and STEM education. Through workshops, research, community programs, and collaborative initiatives, Hangar seeks to democratize access to technology, strengthen local innovation ecosystems, and foster creative and technological entrepreneurship.

As an independent Fab Lab, Hangar encourages participants not only to learn new skills, but also to transform ideas into prototypes, products, and small-scale ventures.
