The FarmLab.at is an Austrian rural creative hub where traditional craftsmanship meets cutting-edge digital fabrication. At FarmLab, we explore new pathways toward a regenerative future by offering workshops, hosting artistic and research residencies, and developing research-based projects—often within EU-funded frameworks, as for example for the SheMakes.eu project.
As a semi-self-sufficient small farm, we also care for a flock of sheep whose wool inspires our experiments and research in spinning, weaving, dyeing, and felting. We particularly enjoy working with foraged and homegrown natural dyes—especially our own indigo.
FarmLab is an association run by Silvia Brandi (an architect with expertise in sustainability and nonprofit management) and Martin Gutmann (an architect specializing in digital fabrication and farming).
