Originally known as the University Center for Linkage and Technology Transfer (CUVyTT), we became the Directorate of Innovation and Knowledge Transfer (DITCo).

Our laboratory began as a provider of specialized services for the region's industry, with the passage of time and the connection with the business sector, equipment was acquired that allowed us to do some machining and thus in 2015 a workshop with a lathe and milling machine began, later in collaboration with industry and the government, funds were obtained to equip the workshop and the "MAKERZONE BUAP" was formed.

We are currently a multidisciplinary laboratory, with design, simulation and manufacturing capabilities of prototypes belonging to the BUAP (Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla), where we promote the development of projects with innovative content.

Since our creation we have focused on collaborating with the entrepreneurial community, industry, students and teachers, linking the innovation ecosystem of the region.

We are in a region with many universities, automotive, chemical, and agricultural industries, in addition to having a student community of more than one hundred thousand students.

We have a lathe, milling machine, CNC (4 axes), 5 3D printers (filament), 1 resin 3D printer, 1 laser cutter, 2workstations (64 GB), circuit design and Arduino programming, among other manual tools, electrical and software.
