Fab Lab IBERO is a planned, open and multidisciplinary digital fabrication laboratory at Universidad Iberoamericana Mexico City. It will enable students, faculty and members of its community to transform ideas into functional prototypes through digital fabrication, experimentation, mentoring and project-based learning in a safe and inclusive environment.

Its planned capabilities include 3D printing, laser cutting and engraving, large-format CNC machining, precision milling and circuit fabrication, vinyl cutting, electronics, robotics, 3D scanning, textiles, ceramics, composites, woodworking, metalworking, museography and editorial production.

Access will combine open collaborative areas with scheduled use of specialized equipment. Users will follow induction, safety and progressive training processes supported by micro-credentials. The lab will support teaching, research, entrepreneurship, social-impact initiatives and multidisciplinary projects while promoting responsible documentation and knowledge sharing.

Fab Lab IBERO is committed to the Fab Charter, the development of public-access programs, participation in the global Fab Lab Network and the training of its staff through Fab Academy or compatible programs.
