The Cégep de Sept-Îles Fablab is a technological innovation hub bridging the gap between the local community, students, and our three applied research units. Our space provides public access to digital fabrication equipment to directly support the distinct, yet complementary, missions of our research centers:
ITMI (Industrial Maintenance): Advancing intelligent inspection, custom industrial applications, and equipment reliability through embedded systems and custom electronics.
CR2iE (Energy Intelligence): Supporting the development of smart buildings, renewable energy micro-grids, and energy efficiency solutions through IoT and sensor prototyping.
RAIL (Railway Expertise): Facilitating technological development, automation testing, and specialized research for the railway industry.
By combining rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and PCB manufacturing, our Fablab serves as a catalyst for industrial innovation, technology transfer, and collaborative problem-solving across the Côte-Nord region.
