Carlos Mattei

Bio

Carlos Mattei-Ramos, AIA, LEED BD+C, NCARB is a registered Architect and Director of the LEAP Academy Fabrication Laboratory in Camden, New Jersey. Mr. Mattei-Ramos has a strong community and environmental design background and was brought to the LEAP team to manage and lead the Fabrication Laboratories day to day activities. In close collaboration with the Faculty Director, Mr. Mattei-Ramos oversees a team of LEAP FABLAB Fellows that include both college and LEAP high school students and LEAP teachers in the development of multi-disciplinary projects that allow for applied and experiential learning. He works with all teachers in providing technical assistance on fabrication.

Mr. Mattei-Ramos holds a Bachelor in Environmental Design and a Master in Architecture from the University of Puerto and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Philadelphia Chapter and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Prior to working at LEAP, he worked in the private sector as an Architect on public and private urban and governmental projects and in the non profit sector.
