Maker innovation space is an important part of USAID’s project “Buliding universities and business aliances through technological innovation” (BUILD-IT project). BUILT-IT project began to be implemented in the end of 2015 and officially launched during the visit of President Obama in May 2016. Based on the main important points including innovate the process of developing and implementing policies at the school level to promote the position of Vietnamese education, improve curriculum quality, pedagogical innovation and develop leveraging classroom/ lab technology. The project that promotes diverse relationship between government – business – university partners who share a common goal of closely aligning STEM teching science, technology, engineering and math at Vietnamese universities with the needs and capabilities of business to produce graduates who are capable of leading inclusive and technology-based growth.
SPACE FUNCTIONS:
* Provide resources for faculty and students with the means to access machinery and materials for project and courses
* A space for faculty to offer applied project curricula courses and workshops to students
* Influence culture of innovation, high professional skills, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit
* Provide a space for industry-led student competitions
