The Robo3D Lab at the Centria Vierimaa campus in Ylivieska is the most versatile robotics laboratory in Northern Finland. It has equipment for the most important industrial and collaborative robots (cobots) manufacturers and several robotic simulation and programming software. The laboratory has many mobile robots on wheels and one walking robot equipment.
It also offers a wide range of 3D scanners, 3D machine vision cameras and 3D printers with software. The versatile XR equipment in the laboratory provides a learning environment for using virtual reality in planning and using augmented or expanded reality in testing, installation and maintenance.
The lab also serves as an experimental workshop for companies, RDI projects and students to test how robotics and versatile 3D technology can be used to develop applications based on the latest technology.
