About the job:
InMachines is currently involved in a 3-year funded research project, having the goal of creating an open source machine inventory for Fab Labs and Makerspaces. During the project we will develop the complete range of machines a Fab Lab normally uses: 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC milling machines, 3D scanner, vinyl cutter. For the above project we are looking for a "Fab Lab Technician" that can help us in the daily company operations about machines, production, local stock and safety.
Your tasks:
Taking care of Fab Lab machines
Maintenance
Repairing
Spare parts management and ordering
Calibration
Upgrading
Production of different parts:
3D printed
CNC milled
Laser cut
Other produced parts
Safety implementation:
Ordering and management of regulatory safety equipment
Take care of emergency exits
Implementation of safety guidelines
Help with Fab Lab consultancy and daily tasks
Local materials stock management

Minimum requirements:
1 or more years of working experience in Fab Labs or similar environment
experience in machine maintenance
Preferred qualifications:
German language
Fab Academy Diploma
Bachelor degree
Previous development of open source (hardware) projects
